Our last stop was my hometown; place of lodging the house I grew-up in. This was little more low-key, but we still had tons of fun.
We boated - Tyler was giddy like a school-boy with pockets full of candy.
We took family pictures in the Portland Rose Gardens which you can see at http://leahremilletphotography.com/index2.php#/ proofing/

Password: Newton13. Leah Remillet did a fabulous job. It rained on us just as we began the outdoor photo-shoot and somehow we didn't end up looking like wet rats!
We (mostly Tyler though) spent several hours helping Cory install the new sprinkler system in my parent's yard. Good times. Cory has done amazing work.

The best part of the whole Oregon trip was spending time with my lil' brother Cory who returned from his mission this summer. Such good times! He's a great guy and I'm sad we live so far apart. He's back at BYU now living at Liberty Square. This fact may have been the catalyst for the following...
I had a dream the night before last that he married a 19 year-old from Kansas that we've never met after being in Provo for like 2 days! Yikes!! Thankfully the girl in the dream had blond hair and we all know that Cory is marrying a brunette which means: the dream was bogus!! :)

We loved Oregon and being with my family. Tyler was sad to come back to studying for boards, and I wasn't thrilled for work, HOWEVER, we were excited to come back to our home. We really do love our life and friends in Pittsburgh and are glad to be back as well!

I've been to that zoo with Zac and Nick. You will have to ask Nick about that visit...it was interesting. So nice to see pictures of your family.
ReplyDeleteYou guys have had a busy fun summer! It is always good to come home. Everyone in Pittsburgh will be jealous of the tan you've gotten on your trips since you know it's impossible to get tan in Pittsburgh!
ReplyDeleteThose family pictures are adorable! You are so gorgeous! I keep thinking about how badly we need to have an MTC reunion as soon as Brant and Marcie get out here! Maybe Columbus Day Weekend? Do you guys have anything going on then?
