Caleb and I had a little photo shoot yesterday for my parents' Christmas card and I realized that today he's 20 months old. So he's getting a 20 Months Old post.
He biggest accomplishments lately are walking distances outside with me holding my hand (instead of being held or pushed in a stroller) and saying phrases, albeit extremely slurred. One of his favorites lately is, "It's stuck!" meaning that the objects he's playing with aren't working the way he wants them to. It sounds like, "isstugh!" He also says "where is it" (wher - is - i) and "how are you" (ha - u) and "what are you doing" (wha - u - ooing or wha - ooing).
Other new vocabulary includes "stop" (sta) and shaking his head no. He also signs more as of late.
He's starting to understand some if-you-do-this-then-you-can-have-that logic. His favorite things in the world to eat are juice and milk and laughs this giddy little laugh when he's about to get them. Usually when he can catch the fridge open he searches for them. He also like peeled apples, fruit snacks, cheese, yogurt, pb&j, eggs, various pasta dishes, oranges, granola bars, nutrigrain bars, chips, bananas, and WAFFLES (sometimes he pulls out the waffle iron and pancake mix for me, from two different cupboards). Other things like meat and vegetables and bread he'll eat, but he's more picky about.
Okay, here are the pictures! I took these and edited these all by myself (no Tyler), so don't think Ty's photography skills have diminished after looking at them! It was very rainy and overcast when we took them.

Great pictures, Nicole! He's the cutest!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it the best when they can hold your hand and you don't have to carry them?! Just wait until they can walk next to you and you don't have to worry about them running in front of a car or off the sidewalk. Its amazing.
