A few pictures of Luke's one month birthday. :)
Luke was such a little dream baby from the beginning. He ate, he slept, gained weight quickly, smiled early, and barely cried. He took to swaddling and the binkie right away. (I brought two kinds of pacifiers with me to the hospital and introduced them the first day... I wanted it to work this time and it has paid off!!) He's always been very patient with his brother's attempts to help with his pacifier, give kisses and hugs and whatever else our toddler dreams up.
His very blue eyes attract a lot of attention. He also has a "stork bite" on his forehead that makes him very distinctive! We don't know if that will last though - 90% + of them disappear by the age of 2. Both of Lukes' tear ducts were clogged at birth, so his eyes were often red and glossy. (They are both clear now. :)) This first month he was also battling an cradle-cap-type skin condition all over his body. It didn't seem to damper his spirits, but our pediatrician said it could be itchy so we have a prescription topical medicine that keeps the his skin clear.
These pictures totally don't do Luke justice, but at least I managed to capture a few! We sure do love our little Lukey.
