(A German mission friend called last Sunday and told me that "due date" in German, directly translated back to English is "Birth Appointment." Funny, huh?)
Dear Baby,
I think you should come on Easter Sunday - this Sunday - April 4th. You're due to arrive on the 3rd, so this is giving you a whole day extension on your first due date in this world. Plus, it's EASTER! Our celebration of Christ rising from the dead. It's a symbol of immortal life (living forever!) made possible through our Savior, Jesus. Easter always reminds me that I can live with my family forever. It's a happy day. It's a sunny day. It would be a great birthday.
Easter isn't the same date every year, so you wouldn't always share your birthday with the holiday, but knowing you were born on Easter would be special for you and for me. Dad too.
PLUS it's General Conference this Sunday. The prophet and apostles will speak and it's just a heart-warming day. I think Sunday would be good.
AND your birthday would be 4.4.2010. It's just good all around. So let's plan on Sunday, ok?
