So I started working on getting a teaching certificate and job in Phoenix, as well as organizing my transfer for grad school. Tyler looked for housing and worked on his Navy scholarship application. Meanwhile, we got married and simply told everyone we'd be moving to Phoenix (although we secretly hoped he would be accepted to Pitt). In May I was offered a job teaching third grade and scheduled a flight to go see the school and officially accept the offer. All the while Tyler regularly called Rose at Pitt Admissions and they became quite close. :)
Then suddenly, 36 hours before my plane departure, Tyler heard a noise in his pocket: FIVE GOLDEN RINGS. (Okay, maybe it was only two or three.) It was Rose from Pitt accepting Tyler to dental school there!!! He called me so fast, and there were some more golden rings and shouts for joy. Our dream come true.
In July we flew to Pitt to find a house. We stayed with the very gracious DJ and Libby, and I saw the school for the first time.

This is Pitt's Cathedral of Learning. It's a beautiful baroque-styled building.
Sight-seeing was the easy part; house shopping was the hard part. I will spare you even a snap-shot of the HUNDREDS of pictures we took while looking at houses and save pictures of the one we chose for a later post.

Love it! Can't wait to see the pic of your house . . .
