Our House aka Eight Maids-a-Milking

Couldn't come up with eight maids-a-milking, just couldn't! Haha! I know, however, that my mom's itching to see some pictures of our house. So at long last...

Our front door. Yes, that purple-leafed tree is humongous!

The other side of the tree reveals our cute little garage door. Our driveway dips down like Mom & Dad's, but not quite as steeply. Fall has also often found it covered in leaves!

Here is the front door and living room. The furniture here belongs to the previous owners. We took most of these pictures on our first walk-through.

Just before leaving for Christmas, we (ie almost entirely Tyler) tore up the carpet and sanded down the hardwood floor that was underneath. We have yet to stain the wood, so we'll post about this project later.

Next to our living room, straight forward from the front door, is the kitchen!

This is the view from the kitchen window - it makes doing dishes very pleasant!

We have three bedrooms that all look about like this one without any furniture. One is our bedroom, one is our den, and the last is our guest room - so come visit!

Between the bedrooms is our authentically 50's blue bathroom. The sink, which is hid by the door, is blue too.

Down the stairs leads to our still empty family room. There's this hilarious fake fireplace there on the right. When turned on, an orange light bulb glows against the plastic coals and pom-pom-like plastic strips that are rotating to make an incredibly real crackling noise. Ha ha!

Also in the basement is our pool room! We got the pool table with the house, so come play!

The last little unseen nook is our unfinished
laundry room. I LOVE having my own washer and dryer!!

We feel so blessed to have our own place and to be able to stay put while we're here for dental school.

  1. I love it! What a gorgeous yard/view and such potential. Can't wait to see those hardwood floors when you're all through. A pool table with the place? PARTY! Now our clan just needs to come break in all those bedrooms (and I'm sure Bridget could run a few circles around the basement).
